Graham Beck Wines – South Africa’s Iconic Cap Classique Producer

In 1983, South African entrepreneur Graham Beck purchased the Madeba farm in Robertson with the vision of creating a world-class winery focused on premium Cap Classique sparkling wines. In 1990, he appointed Pieter Ferreira as Cellar Master, a decision that would play a pivotal role in the estate’s future success. The first commercial wines were released in 1991, and by 1994 Graham Beck Brut had been selected to celebrate the inauguration of Nelson Mandela, South Africa’s first democratically elected president. Fourteen years later, the same sparkling wine was served during the celebrations of Barack Obama’s presidential victory. Over the years, the winery expanded its vineyards and production facilities, establishing itself as one of South Africa’s leading sparkling wine producers. Today, the family-owned estate is managed by the third generation of the Beck family, exports its wines to more than 40 countries, and continues to receive international acclaim for its commitment to quality and excellence
